摘要：Objective: To analyze the knowledge on speech valve of the multidisciplinary team of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Santa Casa in tracheostomized children. Method: A quantitative research was carried out, with a prospective study of an applied nature, with an exploratory objective, field research modality, with 91 professionals working in two Pediatric ICUs at Santa Casa. The research started with an integrative review on the benefits of the talking valve, to follow with the application of a questionnaire to health professionals about the knowledge of the talking valve. Results: After analyzing the results, it was found that most professionals had insufficient knowledge about the speech valve, 57.2% have insufficient knowledge when asked if they know the speech valve, 72.6% do not effectively understand the handling and 51.7% do not understand effectively about the benefits. As for the percentage of correct answers about the use of the speech valve in 5 statements, the majority got three wrong statements. A large number of the sample, 97.8% agreed that training for the multidisciplinary team would be relevant. Conclusion: Considering the result regarding the little knowledge associated with the speech valve among the research participants, it is suggested to build an educational technology to contribute to the multiprofessional team, provide access to information in an attractive, fast and effective way, minimizing the risks of erroneous action at the time of patient care with the adapted valve.
