摘要：Objective: to analyze the concept of “health assessment” in Brazilian scientific production from Rodgers' evolutionary perspective. Method: descriptive study, based on Rodgers' evolutionary method. Data collection took place in September 2020 in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. The data from the descriptive analysis are from simple descriptive statistics and concepts supported by IRAMUTEQ. Results: the sample consisted of 4 studies, predominantly dissertations of studies by nurses, in the years 2016 and 2017. The substitute terms respectively and the related concepts were identified in 18.4% and 77.5% of the studies. Considerations based on health: this concept of management based on health based on processes considered well considered, decision making and in health work processes. The analysis of this allows the development of knowledge and the improvement of the work processes that the concept uses.
