摘要：The design and formulation of a public policy must be related to being contemplated, especially to Health. The World Health Organization points to Mental Health as one of the most neglected areas of Public Health that have some type of mental disorder around the world, and one of the most neglected areas of Public Health (WHO) or contexts that cause mental disorders. The objective of this article is to identify how propositions fostered in the country's political agendas on Mental Health and what are the public services offered specifically for Mental Health. The methodology was based on the active search for legislative proposals in progress on the National Congress Portal and on the research of public outpatient services offered via the CNES - Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saúde Portal. The results regarding the steps are compromised with the delay in which the services were delivered. Promissory of the current scenario, this seems to the progress of propositions as well as the legislative review, coming to better corroborate the services already consolidated.
