摘要：The Medical Library Association (MLA)'s Rising Stars (RS) program is a year-long leadership program for a small cohort of participants [1]. Throughout the year-long program, there are monthly guest speakers and readings, assigned mentors, and a group project that investigates some aspect of MLA as an organization. This paper, originally envisioned as a report of our activities, explores MLA's advocacy efforts using a mixed methods approach to incorporate multiple voices and constituencies and provides recommendations to MLA for changes to those advocacy efforts in an effort to be transparent and accountable.
