摘要:This research is aimed at knowing student's higher order thinking skill profile in solving social arithmetic problems. The subjects in this research consisted of three students. They subjects were determined based on mathematical abilities obtained through report cards and on the recommendation of the mathematics teacher. The mathematical ability of the three subjects chosen was different from one another. The first subject had high mathematical ability, the second one with moderate mathematical abilities and the other one with low mathematical abilities. Data was obtained through written tests and semi-structured interviews to obtain valid data. The results showed that the subject with high mathematical ability reached HOTS at the stage of analyzing, evaluating and creating. While, the other subjects with moderate and low mathematical ability had not been able to reach HOTS either at the stage of analyzing, evaluating and creating.
