摘要:This research uses pre experiment design to see how big the learning outcomes of students in the subject of environmental management after being taught with Model-Based Learning approach problems with Contextual. The study population was all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sibulue. While the study sample selected randomly one class with a sample of 22 students. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis through the N-gain test. The results of this study indicate that(1) Activities seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sibulue taught by the application of problem based learning with contextual approach is the category of very active. (2) Results of class VII student learning first country Sibulue taught by the application of problem based learning with contextual approach at the high category. (3) There is the effect of the application of the model-based learning with contextual approach problems through learning outcomes of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sibulue with a value of g = 0.6 in the category of "moderate".
