摘要:Background & objective: Uterine fibroid (UF) is the most common gynaecological neoplasm. Despite the major public health impact of UF, little is known about their association. Some studies focused on the similarities between the common biological mechanisms underlying the development of UF and atherosclerotic plaques. So, it is possible to hypothesize that same atherogenic risk factors, such as dyslipidemia may play a role in UF pathogenesis. This study was carried out to investigate the lipid profile in patients with UF and to analyze the association of dyslipidemia with UF.
