其他摘要:This article is a part of a dissertation “Genders and ages affected on the final particle variation of Kham Muang and Tai Yai language”. The objective aims to compare the speech acts of final particles in Kham Muang language which was influenced from social factors about gender. The concepts of analysis are Pragmatics and Speech acts. The result of the study shows that the final particle of Kham Muang language is divided into 4 groups; 1) Representative (30.8%), 2) Expressive (25.84%), (3) Directive (23.40%), and (4) Commissive (20.58 %) respectively. Gender has an influence on Kham Muang final particle speech act. For Female, Representative is most found (34.68%), Expressive (29.30%), Commissive (19.91%), and Directive (16.11%), respectively. For Male, Directive is most found (31.37%), Representative (25.25%), Expressive (22.06%), and Commissive (21.32%), respectively. From a result, it showed that Female use the final particles more appropriated than Male. Therefore, the selection of final particles affected the variation of meaning of communication since each final particle has been interpreted more than one speech acts depending on purpose and situation of the speaker.
