其他摘要:The research was designed as Quasi experimental research non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The objectives of research were; 1) to develop storytelling set for the enhancing empathy behavior; 2) to compare the empathy behavior in preschoolers between before and after storytelling; and 3) to compare the empathy behavior in preschoolers between the storytelling group and the group that does not receive storytelling. Random sampling of 2 groups was done, 23 preschoolers for the experimental group, 21 preschoolers for the control group. Instruments used were the storytelling plan, the empathy behavior assessment form, and the behavior record form. Non parametric was used to analyze the data between experimental group and control group. The result of the analysis showed that Content Validity Index scores of a storytelling set and a storytelling plan are 1. The experimental group had significantly higher scores in empathy behavior (p < .05). The empathy behavior between pre- and post-test evaluation did differ significantly. Before and after storytelling, the experimental group and control group did not differ significantly in their mean score, however the median score in experimental group was higher than in control group. It is recommended that additional studies should be conducted to determine what factors affect the empathy behavior in preschoolers.
