摘要：The article analyzes the content of reports on the missionary activities of the clergy of the Yeniseidiocese, published in the journal "Yeniseyskiye eparkhial’nyye vedomosti". Missionary trips were carried outon the territory of the Yenisei diocese from the Arctic Ocean to the borders of China. In this study, the journalis considered as a source on the ethno-cultural dynamics of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of theNorth in the late XIX – early XX centuries due to the fact that it contains a large factual material related tothe number, gender composition, religion, and ethnic identity.As a methodological basis, we choose a systematic approach and a method of content analysis thatallows us to identify key and important definitions for analyzing the state and changes in the composition ofethnic and cultural groups of the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North. The authors of the articleselected an array of texts published in 1884-1917, so the article covers a long period-from imperial torevolutionary.The results of the study are conclusions about the changing composition of the indigenous population,the difficult conditions of the traditional way of life, and that ethnic and cultural groups had no idea how toimprove them. At the same time, it follows from the analysis of the reports that the indigenous populationhad a high level of adaptability. And such missionary trips were one of the factors of ethno-cultural dynamicsin connection with the emerging new information among the indigenous population.
