摘要:AbstractData compression methods applied with wavelet transforms, redundant point removal, or neural networks are potential edge computing solutions whose main advantages are minimization of the amount of data transmitted in wireless sensor networks and the reduction of energy requirements and consumption. Implemented as central computational unit, the microcontroller used in such systems compresses the data, specifically temperature data, acquired from environmental monitoring. The proposed compression methods can achieve up to 93% data compression at a mean squared error value of approximately 0.1. The method was designed to satisfy the requirements of the LoRaWAN protocol and the size of the data payload.
