摘要:AbstractThis paper addresses the topic of regulating and optimizing wind energy conversion systems (WECS). The system is comprised of a wind turbine and a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSG). A Vienna rectifier connects a high voltage direct current (HVDC) bus to the energy source. One novelty of this study is precisely the use of the Vienna rectifier, which improves efficiency and energy quality. Another novelty is that the proposed adaptive controller is able to achieve several control objectives because it is designed on the basis of an accurate nonlinear model of the system and has the capacity of compensating for system parameter uncertainties. Specifically, the proposed adaptive controller meets three control objectives: i) ensuring the extraction of the maximum power from WECS using electrical parameter measurements only. ii) Using the Vienna rectifier to minimize switching losses and improve efficiency. iii) Control the power factor (PFC) to optimize the machine's performance while maintaining a voltage balance of the rectifier output. Various simulation results are provided, highlighting the achievement of these control objectives.
