摘要:The Activity Theory (AT) offers a conceptualisation of the ways in which computers play a pivotal and more importantly, a mediational role between teaching and learning. This literature review articulates the origin of the Activity Theory and goes ahead to conduct a vivid literature review on how the adoption and incorporation of computers (desktop computers, laptop computers, iPad, websites, smart phones and their learning and teaching affordances) based on the Activity Theory as the lens of theory, are assistive in the teaching of graduate university students. In such studies, it is also important to clearly show the gaps that are apparent in the literature review, or else the study is rendered meaningless.
