摘要:High rise buildings are heavily reliant on the usage of elevators to save time and mechanical effort. These elevators are appropriately designed to safeguard the passengers with necessary inbuilt features and high-quality materials. However, there is always a risk associated with the elevator due to faulty mechanismof any component that may give rise to an accident. This case reports, illustrated the example of a 13-year-old male met an accident in free fall elevator due to malfunctioning of the cable. Commonly, these falls result in death or severe spinal injury. This case presents a special case of free fall elevator accident where the individual reported unusual injury affecting the bilateral distal tibia fibula and sparing the cervical, lumbo-sacral spine, foot anatomy but no visceral damage. Moreover, no injury transmitted to spine and ribs that are very common in these categories of accident cases. Patients was managed by close reduction internal fixation with K-wiring.
