摘要：The agriculture industry is one of the most dangerous industries in the world. The rate of occupational accidents in agriculture is higher than other industries. The most common fatal accidents in agriculture are due to agricultural vehicles and machinery, height reduction and clogging. The development of agricultural machinery simultaneously with the growth of this sector, threatens the health and safety of farmers and other people present on the farms. The purpose of this study is to investigate the hospitalization costs caused by accidents in the agricultural industry in farmers in Rasht. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study examines the costs of accidents related to the agricultural industry in Rasht from 2016 to 2017. All occupational accidents from agriculture in farmers of Rasht that are referred to hospitals in Rasht for treatment and are included in the study by census. Spss26 statistical software was used to analyze the collected data. Results: A total of 598 cases were examined in this study. The age range of the people whose medical records were studied was between 12 and 70 years and the mean and standard deviation of the age of the people whose medical records were studied was 35.88 ± 10,989. In determining the correlation coefficient, it was observed that between the amount of expenses paid and the type or severity of the accident, we witnessed a positive and weak but significant linear correlation. (R = 060.0, N = 594) which is due to the effect of the basic insurance variable on the amount paid. Discussion and Conclusion: Most of the accidents in the present study occurred in the age range of 28 to 35 years. Men are more likely than women to have work-related accidents in the agricultural industry. Another point that is interesting in the present study and cannot ignore it, is that most accidents are paid by insurance companies and this issue should not be ignored in adjusting medical or direct costs paid by the employer or worker.
