  • 摘要:Introduction Concept of oral health-related quality of life can be used for the evaluation of people’s needs, their problems, their satisfaction levels, and effects of intervention provided to them for specific subpopulations as applicable. Many factors play a role in determining the oral health disparities that exist between men and women. Oral health is closely related with general health and people’s quality of life. Aim The aim of this study is to assess the gender wise utilisation pattern of oral health services. Objective The objective of the study is to evaluate the gender wise utilisation pattern of oral health services. Materials and Methods It is a single centered,retrospective study with a sample size of 4,915 patients. The data was collected from the patient record management system using SIMATS from April 2020 to February 2021. The data analysis was performed using SPSS software and a chi square test was done.The data analysis was performed using SPSS software (version25). The chi square test was done. The chi square test was used to compare the data and checked for the distributions at 0.05 level of significance for effect of statistical significance Result:-A total of 4,915 patients were included in the final analysis. Out of which 52.43% were males and 47.57% were females. Scaling was the most common and prevalent procedure undergone by the outpatients where 98.80% of the patients have undergone scaling and 1.20% of them have not undergone scaling. Conclusion Males show more prevalence in maintaining oral hygiene compared to females.
