摘要:Background: Neck pain is an extremely prevailing disorder amongst the people around the world, where more than 75% of population is suffering from neck pain at some point in their lifespan. Non-specific neck pain is well-defined as- pain present in the posterior part of neck between the superior nuchal line and the spinous process of the first thoracic vertebra. Objectives: To conclude current research evidences for the efficacy of exercise therapy protocols in treating patients having chronic non-specific neck pain. Method: This systematic review comprises of randomized controlled trails only. PubMed, PEDro and Google scholar were utilized for searching articles. Terms like- neck-pain, muscle spasm, physical-therapy, non-specific, strengthening, endurance and resistance exercises. Result: Current results indicate that, exercise therapy is an effective mode of treatment for decreasing pain and improving ROM in individuals experiencing non-specific chronic neck pain without any side effect. 100 articles were searched but based on study criteria only 10 articles were selected. Conclusion: Exercise-therapy protocols utilized for the treatment of non-specific chronic neck pain individuals proved to be effective in decreasing pain, increasing ROM and improving function.
