  • 摘要:This research aims to examine the correlation between creative problem solving skills in mathematics and the perceptual speed. The descriptive correlational research method was used after the research community, which included the fourth- grade high school students ( scientific track ) in outstanding schools in Karbala and Wasit Directorates General of Education was selected. The community was randomly selected and distributed and it consisted of ( 269 ) students. For the purpose of collecting data , two tests were built : the creative problem solving skills in math test and the perceptual speed test. The two tests were applied to two exploratory samples to verify the clarity of the items of each test, set its answering time, make the proper statistical analysis, and check their psychometric properties. Then the appropriate statistical methods were adopted to analyze the results of applying the two tests to the main sample, where the results indicated that the research sample possessed the creative problem solving skills in math as well as the perceptual speed; and that there was a positive correlation between these skills and the perceptual speed of the research sample.
