摘要:This study aims to know the welfare schemes practiced and safety measures provided for the employees. Welfare and safety are two areas that play a significant role in the achieving employees’ satisfaction in any organization. As a result of accidents, the organization loses a number of manpower and man-hours and this loss affects the productivity, welfare and safety measures at the workplace is ensure that employees are exposed to a risk level which do not affect their physical emotional and mental health. Also, the organization do not encourage any activity which will disturb the work life of the employees. Employees are trained appropriately about the work and about all precautionary measures that will prevent accidents at the work place. The objective of this study was to examine the influences of welfare and safety measures on employees’ satisfaction. The data is collected from a structured questionnaire. The sample size is 220 and also it is stratified random sampling. The respondents are the employees of chemical companies at SIPCOT in Cuddalore, TamilNadu. In this study,t test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression are used for analysis. The result of this study is Majority of the employees found that welfare and safety measuresare beneficial for them and welfare and safety measures positively influence the satisfaction of employees.
