摘要：Local anaesthesia has specific fundamental features in general. It is frequently administered in dentistry and subsequently can be the significant source of drug related complications in the dental office. LA causes vasodilatation, which prompts rapid diffusion away from the site of action and results in a very short term of activity intraorally when these drugs are administered alone. This study aims at finding the incidence of allergy to local anaesthesia in dental procedures done at private dental college in Chennai. Materials and method: This study was based on the incidence of allergy to LA in dental procedures. Samples were collected from DIAS of 40,335 patients. SPSS software had been used in the analysis and the results were described in the pictorial graphs. Results: Among the total patients, 52.17% of them were males and 47.83% of them were females. It was observed that there is no incidence of allergy to LA with 100% showing that the patients were non allergic. Conclusion: All LA utilized in dentistry are viable. Thus this study concludes that there is no incidence of allergy to LA with 100% showing that the patients were non allergic unless it was used with the correct dosage.
