摘要:Background: Whiplash associated disorder (WAD) is the injuries by sudden acceleration and deceleration of a motor vehicle accident. The symptoms include neck pain, stiffness, muscle spasms. In some cases, full recovery occurs and in some cases, patients have long-term pain and disability. The main aim of this study is to evaluate the knowledge and awareness about whiplash-associated disorder among dental students. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among dental students with a sample size of 100. A self-administered structured questionnaire was prepared based on Whiplash Associated Disorder and consists of 12 questions. It was circulated to participants through an online platform (Google form). The statistics were done using SPSS software, a chi-square test was used to check the association, and a p-value of 0.05 was said to be statistically significant.
