摘要：Dental ailments like malocclusion affects the functional ability, aesthetic appearance of a person which creates an inferiority complex in the individual. The concept of oral health related quality of life is widely influenced by physical health, psychological state, environment. OHIP covers seven domains invented by SLADE GD. Malocclusion has a significant negative impact on OHIP. Materials and methods: A questionnaire based on malocclusion and OHIP was prepared. A set of 20 questions which comprises demographic details, malocclusion related issues, oral health quality of the patient was prepared and uploaded on survey planet. This questionnaire was circulated among adolescents u derfoing orthodontic treatment. The data obtained was tabulated in excel sheet and analysed by Chi-square test using SPSS software. Association graphs between age and gender with questions in the domain were analysed. The study was statistically significant with p value less than 0.05. Results: Out of 100 participants, 71% of the participants had good OHIP whereas 29% had poor OHIP. About 33% of the participants hardly ever felt tense because of the problems with their teeth Conclusion:Within the limits of the study, the patient with Angle class I malocclusion had a good OHIP when compared to participants with class II and class III malocclusion.
