摘要:The purpose of this study was to find the effect of hatha yoga on selected psychological variables in middle-aged sedentary women. Sixty middle-aged sedentary women were assessed using the DASS inventory and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale to assess their levels of stress, anxiety, and self-esteem. They were randomly assigned to the control and experimental groups. The experimental group was exposed to a particular selected yoga exercise for 4 months. We analyzed the data using a pair of sample t- tests. A comparison of the post-test and pre-test showed that the experimental group had lower post-intervention psychological variables than the control group (p <0.0001). Regular practice of hatha yoga helps to overcome psychological variables, thereby promoting psychological well-being. Hatha yoga was effective against the psychological variables of in middle-aged sedentary women.
