摘要：The purpose of this qualitative study was to explain adolescents' views on health and addiction. Methods: 52 Tehran adolescents (28 boys, 24 girls) aged 11 to 19 years were surveyed using open and semi-structured interviews. These individuals were selected by purposive sampling. Conversations with the subjects were recorded and then written word for word and analyzed based on the content analysis method. Results:Data analysis showed that 84% of the respondents considered friendships and relationships with friends and 16% as a family as the reason for the prevalence of addiction. Relief from problems and carelessness, the feeling of greatness and power, compensation for social limitations, lack of work and leisure, tendency to break the norm, and curiosity were other reasons considered by adolescents. Conclusions: Given the importance of adolescents as future makers and the prevalence of addiction, knowledge of the views of this vulnerable group on the relationship between the concept of health and addiction is essential and can be used in cultural, health, social planning, and needs assessment. And priorities are beneficial.
