  • 摘要:Cross linked acrylic denture teeth are widely used in prosthetic dentistry, principally because of the ability to bond chemically to denture base resin. These teeth are usually manufactured by compression moulding, or transfer moulding.However, despite high standards of manufacture. Still there is a problem with denture teeth sometimes debonding from the denture base resin. Aim: The aim of the present study was to assess the awareness of dental students on cross linked acrylic teeth and its use in dentistry Materials and methods: Self-administered questionnaire was prepared and it was distributed among dental students through the online survey “google forms”. Results: About [14%] of the participants were not aware of the functional properties of cross linked acrylic teeth, Majority of the participants [86%] were aware of the functional properties of cross linked acrylic teeth,about [25%] of the participants felt strong chemical bond is the major function of cross linked acrylic teeth, [35%] of the participants felt occlusal adjustment is the major function of cross linked acrylic teeth, Majority of the participants [36%] felt shock absorber is the major function of cross linked acrylic teeth. Conclusion: In the present study the knowledge of cross linked acrylic teeth among dental students was satisfactory.For further studies,augmentation,awareness should be created through various means about the advantages of using cross linked acrylic teeth and presented to the dental students.
