摘要:Introduction:An attractive smile has always been the focal point of a person's attention to improving esthetic appearance and thus self-esteem. It is the contrasts of shape, color, line, and texture that enable us to differentiate one tooth from another, the teeth from the gums, and the smile from the face. To understand why a smile with dentition in harmony is considered beautiful, clinical examples are presented to illustrate how to apply visual perception to the dental environment. The aim of the study is to assess and create awareness on esthetic treatment among rural populations. Materials and Methods: A well structured questionnaire containing 15 questions was administered to the participants through an online survey link. The responses were analysed through descriptive statistics using SPSS software. The results are represented through pie charts. Results and Discussion: The aim of the study is to assess and create awareness on esthetic treatment among rural populations. There was no statistically relevant association between age and dental aesthetic satisfaction. The gingival category had the highest level of satisfaction and the teeth color category had the lowest. Furthermore, It is not clear from this study at what level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction the Participants might seek dental aesthetic care. Conclusion: From the present study, it is concluded that, rural population has very less awareness on dental esthetic treatment.
