  • 摘要:Gypsum has been used for many years as a dental impression, modeling, and bite recording material.Availability, price, mechanical and physical properties, such as dimensional stability, have made gypsum as the most popular dental modeling and investment materials. Gypsum is used to create casts in which different types of prosthetic parts can be built, among other dental applications. In the specification of each one of the aforementioned associations, for each type of gypsum is clearly established a range of values allowed for the linear setting expansion. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The questionnaire was validated in the standard manner. The study population were asked to fill out the online google form after reading each question thoroughly. The results were collected from google forms and the data was analysed using SPSS version 23. RESULTS : Among total participants, 52% of the participants were Female, and 48% of the participants were males. Among total participants, 46% are first year participants, 21% are second year participants, 10% are third year participants and 23% are fourth year students. Out of 100 participants, 41% participants responded yes and 11% participants responded No among females. And 37% participants responded yes and 11% participants responded no among males. P value= 0.832 (<0.05 ) and it was statistically not significant for association between gender and their perception of awareness of vacuum machinery used in dentistry. CONCLUSION: More knowledge, awareness and practice is needed towards vacuum machinery on gypsum products.
