摘要:Helen Oyeyemi is a British novelist and writer of short stories. She was born in Nigeria, presently she lives in Prague. Her fifth novel is Boy, Snow, Bird and it was published in 2014. Boy, Snow, Bird is a fairy tale that construct on Racial Discrimination, Gender, Identity of three women. During 1950’s racism spreads all over the country including in America. Racism is taking many forms and it is revealed through people’s actions as well as attitudes. This novel shows how the three Women stumble to live in America. This novel “Snow, Boy, Bird” begins in New York City in the mid-1950’s. The setting of the novel almost entirely in Flax Hill, Massachusetts. The aim of this paper is to analyses the Racial discrimination in Oyeyemi’s novel Boy, Snow, Bird and also shows how Snow suffers being white skinned through her step mother and Bird suffers being dark skinned by the family and society, and also depicts how they overcomes it.
