  • 摘要:The synthesis of the metal based nanoparticles along with the herbal extracts have shown an increasing outcome in the current field of nanotechnology. Zinc oxide nanoparticles are preferred in the field of biomedicine for its physicochemical properties as it is popular for its UV absorption properties. It shows significant effects on wound healing, antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. To find out the cytotoxic effect and anti-inflammatory of piper longum mediated zinc oxide nanoparticles. Materials and Methods: Cytotoxic effect and anti-inflammatory activity of the zinc oxide nanoparticles with piper longum were performed using brine shrimps for cytotoxic activity at 5,10,20,40,80 concentration and Bovine Serum Assay (BSA) for anti-inflammatory activity at 10,20,30,40,50 concentrations. Results and Discussion: The increase in the concentration showed an elevated cytotoxic activity. The anti-inflammatory activity showed an increase in the values in increase in the concentration. Percentage of inhibition was highest at 50µL (85%). Conclusion: Zinc oxide nanoparticles with piper longum extract have a potential to act as anti-inflammatory and show good cytotoxic activity. Hence further studies can promote this to be available as commercial products.
