摘要:Education nurtures personal development and self-fulfillment and also inspires the individual to develop his mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual talents to the fullest. Well defined and futuristic education policy is essential for a country as education leads to economic and social progress. A nation can strongly develop only when its foundational literacy is robust. The earlier policies could not do much in the area of Early Childhood Care and Education and the result of this neglect is still instinctive in the form of poor learning outcomes at various stages of Education. National Education Policy2020 lays emphasis on developing strong foundational literacy and overcoming the shortfalls of ECCE existing in our country. The paper aims to discuss the crucial aspects of NEP2020 in the context of early childhood care and education. The challenges in the smooth implementation of this policy in the context of NEP2020 is also discussed along with future recommendations.
