摘要：The present study deals with the concept of Multiculturalism in Bharati Mukherjee’s Desirable Daughter. Mukherjee’s Novel are essential to the question of mutilation of the self, eagerness of migration, wistfulness for last home. Desirable Daughters explores how Tara reunites with her home family community and tradition in the way of quest of self-contrast society, self-finding. Multiculturalism is a theme that continuous along throughout the book of her life in San Francisco. Mukherjee descries the issues of Immigration from the cultural perspective. The current paper is an attempt to inspect whether the characters succeed in absorbing themselves in a multicultural society of North America. This paper explores the Multiculturalism and its effect on people who Settled in Abroad.
