摘要：INTRODUCTION:To determine the knowledge among dental students on the various methods of orthodontic treatment. Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that corrects teeth and jaws that are positioned improperly. Crooked teeth or teeth that does not fit properly are harder to clean, are at risk for early loss of teeth due to decay and periodontal disease, and cause extra stress on the chewing muscles that can lead to headaches and TMJ syndrome. MATERIALS AND METHOD:The benefits of orthodontic treatment include a healthier mouth, a more pleasing appearance, and teeth that are more likely to last a lifetime. A question survey was carried out through online containing 10 questions was sent to 118 dental students on awareness on various orthodontic treatment. An online survey was conducted using survey planet software and the data was collected and completely analyzed for statistical difference. Several studies undertaken to know the awareness of students or teachers regarding orthodontic treatment throughout the world. The present study was undertaken by the students of saveetha dental college, India. Within the limits of this study, it may be concluded that most of the students were aware of the various methods of orthodontic treatment but we must keep updating our knowledge on different treatment for a better result.
