摘要:It is well-known that micro enterprise is the smallest business unit and it has the concept of Owner-Manger-Entrepreneur (OME) with minimum number of employees. It differs from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). It is an effective strategic instrument to eliminate the status of poverty by using it as income generating method especially through Self Help Group in India. An empirical study was attempted with 400 Self Help Group members who got selected through Simple Random Sampling Technique to examine the impact of factors on Self Help Group through establishing micro enterprise. Various tools like percentage analysis and the multiple regression analysis were applied in this study. The result reveals that significant impact of “Gender” and “Education” lies on the improvement of social status of the entrepreneurs. In addition, a significant association was found between the demographic variables and the factors those influence Self Help Group. The result suggests that the authorities have to focus on entrepreneurial initiatives, providing quality information and also ensuring the team work for improving the performance of the entrepreneurs.
