摘要：This paper aims in identifying and describing about the family problems between mother -in- law and daughters-in-law. In Sudha Murty novel Dollar Bahu. Sudha Murty is an Indian author, engineer, teacher and social worker. She was known for short stories and non-fictional. One of her well known novel is Dollar Bahu. The ideas of family relationship in Dollar Bahu . The story is about two daughters in- law of a family one from America and the other one from India. How the mother in law treats them. The story is more of the mother in – law who thinks that her American daughters in-law is better than her counterpart in India. Dollar Bahu book will shows some families that love and affection can be more important than money.
