摘要:For several decades, the most predictable aesthetic restore of the anterior teeth was performed with complete crowns, but restorations of the remaining surrounding structures with detrimental effects on the pulp and periodontal tissues are the most intrusive. Thus, laminate veneer restorations were proposed as an alternative anterior cosmetic reconstruction with a more traditional preparation for tooth structure. The performance of laminate veneers is largely dependent on an appropriate tooth reduction in order to create enough room for the manufacture of correctly contoured ceramic veneers without reducing the tooth structure. This study was conducted in order to analyse the level of knowledge and awareness on tooth preparation for laminate veneer crowns among dental students. Materials and Methods: This study setting includes an online survey involving the undergraduates of age between 17 - 25 from different locations. Data was collected. A questionnaire contains a set of 17 questions with a validity checking. Data collection software was used. The statistical test used here is the chi square test. The statistical software used is a SPSS. Results: Among the total population, 76.42% of the population are aware about the treatment of laminated veneer crowns and 23.58% are not aware about the treatment. The p value is calculated using SPSS software and it is found statistically insignificant, i.e. > 0.05. Conclusion: This study therefore concludes that the dental students have moderate experience and understanding on tooth preparation for laminated veneer crowns.
