摘要：INTRODUCTION:Pneumonia is a lung infection that can affect one or both of the lungs. It can be a viral or bacterial infection, and it is more commonly a bacterial disease. It is classified into 4 types.it can also be caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Pneumonia can cause inflammation in the air sac in your lungs. The alveoli are filled with fluid or pus, making it difficult to breathe. Both viral and bacterial pneumonia can spread by inhalation of airborne droplets from a sneeze or cough. It occurs by coming into contact with surfaces or objects that are contaminated with pneumonia-causing bacteria or viruses. To create an awareness of treatment protocols with pneumonia patients among dental students. MATERIALS AND METHODOLOGY: A well-structured 10 questions were prepared to cover socio-demographic information, knowledge, attitude, the perception was framed and administered to the participants through an online google form. The survey was conducted among 200 college students. RESULTS:The survey was conducted among 100 dental college students. In that 56% male students and 44% of female students have taken this survey. In that 68% of them were aware of the treatment protocols of pneumonia and 32% of the students were not aware of the awareness of the treatment protocols of pneumonia. In that 38 % of male were more aware about the treatment protocols than female 30%. Through an analysis it was found to be statistically significant ( p - value =0.33 , chi square value = 4.569). (p>0.05 statistically significant). CONCLUSION: The awareness of pneumonia protocols was analyzed among the few college students by this survey and more awareness should be created among the population about the pneumonia protocols.
