摘要：The dairy farming is a major productive activity providing stable secondary income to the farming community in Indian agriculture sector. Production-wise, milk is the second largest commodity next only to rice. Dairy sector generates a regular source of income to the farmer family throughout the year. However, the dairy industry in India is spread in a scattered manner over the entire country in considerably small units in a disorganized form. In the present times, the Indian dairy industry is exposed to positive transformation leading to its rapid growth to meet the challenges ahead. Even at present, much more emphasis is needed in the areas of composition, production traits and feeding patterns of bovine population and their impact milk production, processing and marketing research. The present study, therefore has been undertaken in Jaipur Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Limited (JDUSSL)of Rajasthan state as this state is among the states that produce the highest quantity of milk in India.
