摘要:Partial dentures are prosthodontic appliances that are used to replace one or more missing teeth. These appliances are classified into removable and fixed partial dentures. Both of these have their own benefits and their own fallbacks. The aim of this study was to find the awareness of partial denture crowns among undergraduate dental students. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among the undergraduate dental students in a dental institution. This was done by circulating a questionnaire online through an online survey website called Google Forms. The questionnaire was approved by the institutional review board. The dental students were of the age group between 17-30 years of age. For this study, the sample size taken was 100 and the questionnaire contained 15 questions, pertaining to the awareness of partial denture crowns among dental students. Result: The results of this study were compiled on SPSS and were represented in the form of pie charts and were compared with the findings of other studies. We found that the awareness of telescopic crowns among the population to be at 62% which signifies a relatively high level of awareness. The awareness relating to the various types of partial dentures was also found in this study, and we also found the awareness regarding the various types of crowns. Conclusion: From this study, we can conclude that the awareness of partial denture crowns among undergraduate dental students is high.
