摘要：India is the most favourable health tourism destination among tourists and travelers because of high quality of hospitals and health infrastructure, competent and experienced physicians and nurses, pleasant atmosphere and modern medical equipments and superior quality of healthcare services. Tourists choose Chennai due to low cost and International standards for Medical facilities. The study is conducted on domestic health tourists going to Chennai for treatment. The results explicate that health tourism in Chennai is providing effective health treatments, offering better quality of health care services, giving state of art facilities, providing secured health care services, giving pleasant and calm atmosphere, keeping privacy of personal details and maintaining good relation between tourists and doctors. Significant difference is there amongst socio-economic features of tourists and their perception towards health tourism. Perception of tourists towards health tourism is significantly, positive and highly related with their satisfaction. Therefore, health tourism should be priced attractive and promoted well among tourists across all segments of medical tourists.
