摘要:There could be various aspects of aspirants’ life that matter for them in competitive exam success. Emotional Intelligence and psychological capital are the most important aspects which play a great role in competitive exam success. Emotional Intelligence and psychological capital are analyzed with reference to competitive exam success in the present study. The current study aimed to find the association between emotional intelligence, psychological capital, and competitive exam results among schoolteacher aspirants. A sample of 426 schoolteacher aspirants has been selected for the study. The emotional Intelligence and psychological capital Scale have been administered to collect the data. For the data analysis, the Chi-square test has been used in the present study. Findings show that there is found a highly significant relationship (χ2= 127.200, p=0.000) between different levels of psychological capital and competitive exams, and other findings show no significant relationship (χ2= 8.438, p=.015) between different levels of emotional Intelligence and competitive exams results among schoolteacher aspirants. So, it can be said that psychological capital may have a more important role than emotional intelligence in competitive exam success.
