摘要:The purpose of the study was to investigate career decision making self-efficacy among higher secondary school students. The main objectives of the study were to explore variation in career decision making self-efficacy between male and female students studying in private and public schools. The population of current study was consisted of 10 public, 10 private girls and boys from higher secondary schools. A total of 10 students from each school and 200 students as a whole constituted the sample size for the current study which was selected through simple random sampling technique. The research study was descriptive in nature and the researcher collected data through questionnaire. For the purpose of data collection, the participants responses were received by adapted questionnaire “Career decision making self-efficacy- short form" developed by (Betz & Taylor, 2012) was used. The study concluded that male students have slightly higher career decision making self-efficacy than female students. The study also concluded that private school had slightly higher career decision making self-efficacy than government schools. Based on findings the need of gradual career development in school was recommended. School administrators and policy makers should make themselves more aware of how the career decision making develops in young adolescents.
