摘要:The industrial sector in Iraqi Kurdistan is one of the most important economic sectors due to it having the ability to adequate economic services especially raw materials that help it develop and expand. Among the Iraqi Governorates, Sulaymaniyah is ranking the first in terms of the size of invested capital for setting up manufacturing plants. It has long been recognized that organizations with commitment workers will accomplish more of their goals and objectives. This paper investigates the impact of the effectiveness of performance appraisal on organizational commitment which commitment goes a step further than loyalty. This paper approved that most industrial enterprises lack effective performance appraisal practices. This is reflected in the reduction and organizational commitment, especially the willingness to leave work if they are given a better opportunity. Finally, the research reached several recommendations for strengthening organizational commitment and decreasing its cons.
