摘要：The recent advances in telemedicine have offered real and practical opportunities to health-care providers in sharing expertise and resources in health care over distances. In India, telemedicine has revolutionized the health-care system by minimizing the cost, avoiding the long-distance travels and in timely providing specialist care in remote areas. The Indian Army is also reaping the benefits of telemedicine, by providing round-the-clock medical care to the troops deployed in high-altitude areas.
