摘要：Research goal of this paper is to analyze the development of macroeconomic indicators, using relevant methodological procedures, in order to consider the development trends of the textile industry of the Republic of Serbia trough the three decades of transition - the last decade of the 20th and the first two decades of the 21st century. The key conclusions of the analysis are as follows: first, constant changes in the structure of the economy and frequent ups and downs of the textile industry of the Republic of Serbia depended on the economic policy of the country at the time, as well as non-economic factors; secondly, the textile industry of the Republic of Serbia has constantly had a relatively high share in the country's exports and thirdly, the textile industry of the Republic of Serbia is still in the labyrinths of transition and facing new challenges.
