摘要：The continent of Africa continues to experience the age-old challenges of violence,especially in the form of crime, terrorism, and conflict.Now more than ever these havealso become subtle, with a lot of violence being low-intensity, as in gender-basedviolence and the militarisation of relations between communities.The open conflictssuch as we see in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, involving the Ethiopian and Eritrean armiesengaging in a military confrontation with the Tigray Liberation Front forces, affectingmany civilians, are rare.
