摘要:AbstractThis work describes an extension of RIP (Remote Interoperability Protocol) to cope with generalized sampling (i.e. combine different methods of sampling for a set of variables/states) in online laboratories (OL). We discuss, from the OL perspective, some alternative approaches to non-periodic sampling, analyze some ad-hoc solutions that have been successfully used in the past, and then we create a model with three different levels of abstraction model that captures the relevant aspects of the sampling that appear in online labs. Then, we propose an extension of RIP that support the proposed abstract model. Finally we present two examples of implementation based on the proposed architecture.
