摘要：Thestudywasconfinedtoasampleof150sugarcanefarmerhouseholdsselectedoftwoblocksofLakhimpurKheriDistrict.Findingsrevealthatperfarminvestmentonfarmstructurewashighestonlargesizegroupoffarmsi.e.,Rs.906411.71.Theoverallaverageofcostsofcultivationinsugarcane(planted)wasfoundtobeRs.120101.42onsamplefarms.Thebenefitcostratiowasfoundtobehighestonlargesizeoffarm(1:0.88)ascomparedtosmallfarms(1:0.78)andmediumfarms(1:0.78).ItwasrevealedthatthetotalcultivationcostperhectareonoverallfarmswasRs.87037.53inRatooncrop.AndonanoverallaveragegrossincomewasrecordedRs.166173.80andnetincomecametoRs.79136.27.Studyfinallyresultsontotheconclusionthatsugarcanefarmingisaprofitableventure.Infuturefarmerscaninvestinitforsmartreturns.
