摘要:Military capability acquisition and enhancement is a strategic issue that can significantly impact national security. The present study identifies the gaps and provides additional research into the application of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). Current research within literature predominantly investigates developments, modifications, and evaluations of a singular MCDM technique within single-use applications. This suggests that the most prominent area for further studies is developing and applying MCDM frameworks for current practices in Australia. The military's efficiency in decision-making is crucial given the magnitude of politically sensitive risks. Such risks are particularly relevant within capability acquisition and enhancement. This project aims to support Militaries by developing a framework that combines two different MCDM techniques for continuous application. Two hypothetical objectives for capability acquisition and enhancement (respectively) have been run through the final model to ensure the feasibility of the results. As per the MCDM approaches, the Fast Rope is the most optimal product for acquisition for the rotary-wing helicopter. This application will assess and demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed model.
