摘要:Emergency supply planning is vital for effectively responding to a disaster. In the literature, multiple planning objectives and pre-determined or fixed emergency supply delivering amounts are seldom addressed. In this study, we propose a multi-objective emergency supply planning model, which deploys strategic emergency warehouses at some existing candidate warehouses and allocates each potential demand point to a deployed strategic emergency warehouse under the goals of maximizing both emergency supply delivering efficiency and equity. Based on various socio-economic and geographic data of Sichuan province of China, we conduct a case study to show the effectiveness of our proposed model and to obtain managerial insights. Our study not only highlights that deploying a proper number of strategic emergency warehouses and increasing the pre-determined emergency supply delivering amounts can lead to better planning outcomes but also emphasizes the importance of considering multiple planning goals, planning the emergency warehouse locations and the emergency supply delivering amounts integrally in practices.
