摘要:Scalability is a critical characteristic of reconfigurable manufacturing systems because it enables the system's throughput capacity to be altered due to abrupt changes in market demand. This paper proposes an unconventional scalability investigation by utilizing state-space modeling and MATLAB software to facilitate the modeling and analysis process of the adapted RMS model. This is followed by developing a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) to apply a set of constraints to enhance the overall performance. Finally, we concluded with a discussion highlighting the differences in our system responses related to scalability changes.
